Description
LX Newton 55 Espresso Grinder Overview
This refurbished LX Newton 55 is a premium home espresso grinder that puts performance and build quality first without giving up good looks. It is made in Italy, with an all-metal housing and a glass touch display, and it uses a pair of 55mm flat steel burrs with a 310W motor.
The motor runs at 1,350RPM for an output between 1.2-1.8g/sec depending on fineness. Silent technology brings grinding noise down to roughly 60db, and the ACE System (Anti Clumps & Electrostaticity) removes static and clumps from ground coffee. Experienced home baristas get precise stepless adjustment and programmable single and double shot times, so a dialed-in recipe is easy to repeat. Opening the grinder for maintenance does not disturb the setting, because the top burr stays stationary.
Key Features
- Stepless micrometric regulation with a comfortable knob to the right of the display
- Stationary top burr, so your grind setting is kept when the grinder is opened for maintenance
- Single and double doses programmable within 1/10th of a second on the touch display
- Dose lock against accidental changes, plus manual Extra Dose mode for continuous grinding
- Adjustable metal portafilter fork for grinding directly into the basket
- Shatter resistant 250g Tritan bean hopper that sparkles like glass
- Silent technology for roughly 60db operation
Who It’s For
The Newton 55 is for home baristas who want a grinder with solid construction and a refined look rather than a plastic appliance. It gives espresso-focused users precise control through its stepless knob and programmable doses, and the metal housing, glass display and comfortable knob all feel as good as they look.
